New Bothell Safeway raises cash and over 1700 bags of groceries for the Bothell Community Kitchen

According to Sara Osborne from Safeway HQ, the Bothell Community stepped up again. With the assistance of the Bothell Community, the new Bothell Safeway has donated a large sum of money to a local charity. Here is what she sent to the Bothell Blog:

“We at Safeway want to send a THANK YOU to the entire Bothell community who purchased an “Every Bag Counts” bag at the Kenmore and Lakeside Safeway stores to donate to the Bothell Community Kitchen between Thanksgiving and New Years Day.  In total, the community donated 1725 bags!!!  That is the highest amount that was donated anywhere Safeway operates in the country! 

We hope you will also be happy to know that the Bothell Community Kitchen will be receiving an additional $2800 gift from Kraft Foods and Safeway.”
