The Run of the Mill 5k and Walk is coming back to Mill Creek!

Hey Bothell neighbors, it’s time to lace up your running shoes and head just a bit north for a fantastic community event! The 2025 Run of the Mill 5K is happening on Sunday, September 14th at 9:00 AM in the heart of Mill Creek Town Center, and it’s an event you won’t want to miss. As Bothell’s friendly next-door neighbor, we’re thrilled to share the scoop on this family-friendly race that’s been a Mill Creek staple since 2006.

The Run of the Mill 5K is all about bringing people together for a fun, active morning while supporting local charities and high school sports programs. With 100% of race entry fees going to these great causes, thanks to generous sponsors like Columbia Funding Mortgage, every step you take makes a difference in our community. Over the years, this event has raised over $300,000 for local organizations—talk about running for a purpose
The race kicks off at 15418 Main Street, Mill Creek, WA, with a flat and scenic course that winds through city streets and the beautiful North Creek Trail. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, or walking with the family, this 5K is designed for everyone. Plus, there’s a Kids Race for the little ones, so the whole crew can join in the fun! Expect music, prize giveaways, community booths, and plenty of post-race cheer to keep the good vibes going. Packet pickup starts at 7:15 AM, so be sure to arrive early to grab your bib and soak in the festive atmosphere.

For our Bothell runners, Mill Creek is just a quick 10-minute drive up Bothell-Everett Highway, making this an easy way to enjoy a morning of fitness and community spirit.
